with the Silo String Quartet

With two performances from star quartet Silo String Quartet the world premiere of Salecich's work for String Quartet, «dreaming of. . .», found its way into the discerning ears of Melbourne concert-goers.
The work was complimented by David Chisholm's work Luminal, from which the project derived its name. These two works focussed on heavy topics: they both drew their inspiration from from Robert Jay Lifton's study The Nazi Doctors: Medical Killing and the Psychology of Genocide.
Luminal, from which the project derived its name, was the sedative repeatedly and secretively administered to children marked for the euthanasia program in the late 1930s, under the German Nazi Party.
