future projects_
In addition to his current project, Salecich has numerous ideas for future projects and musical events.
Each work is in differing stages of planning and may be subject to change.
dreaming of . . .
string quartet
Sometimes the rawness of a dream can bring out the most intimate secrets of the human psyche. There is often no rationale; it is a 'safe' playground where absolutely anything is possible, likened to the multiple interpretations that a dream may bring.
Dreaming of . . . will also be in-part freely interpreted. There will be the availability for improvisation and dialogue between the musicians, both rationally and irrationally. The freedom of this dream-scape will hopefully encourage the listener to bring to life dream-like interpretations of their own.

that eye, the sky
theatrical work | chamber ensemble
Based loosely on the acclaimed novel That Eye, The Sky from Australian author Tim Winton, Salecich will use selected texts and concepts from Winton's novel, focussing on the story's transcendental and supernatural elements.
A small group of the ensemble will be elevated on a three-metre riser representing the 'transcendental', supplemented with unseen and offstage instrumentalists. The latter half of That Eye, The Sky will be dominated by the raised ensemble, leaving the core ensemble no choice but to imitate, as if in submission to the ethereal.
blue
installation | contemporary dance | ensemble | electronics
Blue will be an extensive work combining colour, sound and human movement in a multi-layered artistic commentary on post-modernism.
"Going nowhere" and "everywhere" is probably a fitting description of the post-modernist, and comparable with the color blue. It is often considered neutral, has a serene beauty and spirituality, but can also be entangled with being 'down' or depressed.
The post-modernist is also a visual being, multi-faceted and a compote of (musical) content—to be represented in Blue by both contemporary dance and stunning installations.
