This soundscape pivots a solo violin against the soundworld of the Hypertechnik. At times the violin fights its natural virtuosic self against the technical, becoming a slave to the system. It embraces many varying and obscure dichotomies within the CD backing—real sounds of the violin, street noises, sampling and electronic synthesis.

Within the work there is the opportunity to improvise, in a way that even the least-talented improviser would understand. Drawing on a wealth of modern industrial sounds and pop sources, 101010001012(1012) takes a journey through the everyday world—where almost anything and everything can happen.
